Today, in virtually every country in the world, Bahá’ís who come from every religious and cultural background: Christian, Islamic, Jewish, Zoroastrian, Hinduism, Buddhism as well as those of no faith, gather together to practice a belief which teaches:

  • The oneness of all religions and the oneness of the entire human race
  • Independent investigation of truth
  • Equality of men and women
  • The importance of education for all
  • That work performed in the spirit of service is elevated to the rank of worship
  • Establishment of a universal auxiliary language
  • Elimination of extremes of wealth and poverty
  • Establishment and safeguarding of a permanent and universal peace
  • Service to humanity

Bahá’u’lláh’s assertion, that “The earth is but one country and mankind its citizens,” is today realised by the emergence of the Bahá’í world community, strong evidence that the human race in all its diversity, can learn to live and work together in harmony.
